Why does Fiverr’s “Switch to Selling” send me back to the buyer homepage?
Again. The Fix:
Open Fiverr’s freelancer onboarding page in the browser where you are signed in. If you prefer to navigate through the site, find For Freelancers → Become a Fiverr Freelancer in the footer, then select Create your profile. That route takes you to the setup flow even when Switch to Selling keeps returning to the buying homepage.
Choose Complete profile manually, review the information already on your account, and fill in the fields Fiverr requires. Continue through the remaining prompts until the freelancer dashboard loads. In the case behind this guide, finishing onboarding restored desktop seller access; the account had retained profile information, but its display name and professional title were blank.
How to fix the Fiverr seller dashboard redirect loop
- Sign in to the Fiverr account that shows the problem on your desktop browser.
- Open fiverr.com/seller_onboarding/0. If that link does not take you into setup, use the site’s For Freelancers → Become a Fiverr Freelancer → Create your profile route, or follow the onboarding link in Fiverr’s profile guide.
- Select Complete profile manually. You can use the résumé option if you prefer, but a résumé upload was not needed for the fix described here.
- On Review your new profile, check every section for missing information and validation messages. Existing photos, biographies, or skills can still be present when required details are unfinished. In this case, the missing details included a display name and professional title.
- Complete the fields Fiverr marks as required. Work experience and certifications were labeled optional in the observed flow and were left empty when access was restored.
- Select Continue and finish the remaining onboarding prompts shown to your account. The exact prompts can vary, so follow the instructions on your screen.
- Confirm that you reach the freelancer dashboard under the intended account. You should see seller navigation and dashboard content rather than the buyer homepage.
Why completing the profile can restore selling mode
Fiverr’s own guidance says you must complete your freelancer profile before you can switch to selling. It specifically addresses people who cannot Switch to Selling from the homepage and directs them to finish freelancer onboarding. After profile creation, Fiverr says it takes you to the freelancer dashboard.
The selling switch can still appear while the required setup is unfinished. In the case behind this guide, clicking it returned to the buyer homepage, and opening the seller dashboard directly did the same. Completing onboarding led to a working seller dashboard in that same desktop browser. The specific internal reason for the redirect was not visible, so this guide treats onboarding completion as the verified fix rather than attributing the problem to a particular account flag or browser setting.
What if I already have a Fiverr profile?
Open onboarding and review it anyway. The account in this case already displayed a photo, biography, and skills, but still had missing profile details. Previously entered information did not mean the current onboarding flow was complete.
If you finish all required prompts and still return to the buyer homepage, contact Fiverr Support with the page you started on, where Switch to Selling sent you, and whether onboarding was completed. If your account shows a restriction notice, include its exact wording so Support can distinguish that from this redirect loop.
